How To: Contour the Easy Way

With all the contour palettes and crazy tutorials out there, contouring and highlighting can seem so hard that we just leave it to the pros. I want to show you the way I contour and highlight and it’s really easy, I promise. I don’t do this everyday, but it’s fun to do once in a while for something extra. You can also just bronze without highlighter, or vise versa. I find myself just using highlighter a lot lately, it’s just so summery.
How To: Contour the Easy Way

Bronzer

As you can see here, the bronzer goes along your hairline, in under your cheekbone (stay about 2 finger widths from your mouth), and back out & down your jawline. You can also just bronze under your cheekbone and call it good. I just like to contour up by my hairline on my forehead to make it look smaller, but those of you with normal foreheads (not fiveheads) can go without for sure.
Tip: For contouring, you want to use a taupe matte bronzer, not a golden shimmery one.

Blush

The blush goes on the apples of your cheeks, not too close to your nose, about 2 finger widths away. You can blend out towards your hairline.
Tip: Stay away from your pores with a shimmery blush. Use a matte blush if you have a lot of pores all over your cheeks.

Highlighter

Highlighter goes above your blush and also blended out to your hairline. It also goes above and below your brow.
