September Ipsy Review

Hello! & Welcome to my first Beauty and Beatitudes post as a married woman! We had an amazing wedding weekend, we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

We got to come back to these beautiful fall colors of Northern Michigan!

ANYways!, I have just gotten around to reviewing my September Ipsy bag, so I want to share!

The bag itself was really cute, silver with studs. The theme this month was Street Style.

First up is a NYX eyeshadow. I usually use more golds when it comes to eyeshadow, but this silvery color is really pretty. NYX is a great brand for the price, I am a fan. Not sure if I will buy this color but I do love the quality of the brand itself. Ulta has a wide variety of NYX products and you can also find this shadow here.

Next is a shadow brush. I have never gotten a brush in my Ipsy bag so I was really excited about this one. It is a really good quality brush, the bristles are really soft and don’t feel cheap. I am a really efficient person so a two ended brush is amazing! This is a shadow/crease brush and both ends work well for what they are meant for. You can find this brush and check out the huge selection of brushes at great prices here.

I have gotten a Calilyn lip gloss before but I wasn’t a fan of the color, or bottle (it wasn’t purse friendly). This color is 09 Basic Instinct, which I thought would be a nude pink but is a little darker than I was thinking. The gloss is pretty thick but it goes on smooth and isn’t sticky. It is a good matte gloss but doesn’t have amazing staying power. Overall I like the product and may purchase it in the future, you can find it here.

I was really excited about this. It is Caviar CC Cream leave in hair perfector by Alternia. I use It’s a 10 miracle leave in cream everyday so I regularly use a similar product. I don’t love the smell, it’s a strong citrus. It claims to perfect hair in 10 ways, and I’m a believer. It helped my hair with shine, smoothness and softness, strength and breakage, and manageability (it’s definitely easier to brush through after using). I think I will definitely switch out maybe every other time with my current leave in cream. You can find this Caviar CC Cream here.

Pacifica is a brand I’ve seen from Ipsy before and it seems to be a good quality brand. I do not wear eyeliner, so I won’t be purchasing this product but it is a great eyeliner. It goes on smooth and has a nice rich color. It is not waterproof, but seems to hold up pretty well. I would recommend this product, and you can check it out for yourself here.
